Race Against Poverty 2020

Check out your options below and register to participate! Then let people know so they can sponsor you to make a bigger impact. You can even form a team to collectively make a difference. It’s super easy, and the funds you raise allow us to help more families on their journey out of poverty!

Last year we had 762 people sign up for the Race Against Poverty. If each of us finds just 5 people who want to give $20 in support of us doing the Race Against Poverty, we could easily raise over $75,000!

Race Types

Team Challenge

Sign up 5+ participants to raise funds together and compete in the 5k as a team! To form a team, someone must first create a new team name and register.  Once the team has been created, other members can select to join the team when they register. You do not have to stay together, you can all run and walk at your own pace, and the times of your first 5 finishers will count for your score. All the funds you each raise will be combined—check the leaderboard on our website to see if your team is in the lead!

**Team members will still be placed as individuals and can win both as an individual and team member. All teams MUST be registered online prior to the close of online registration on August 26. Team members cannot be added on race day. However, you can still register to run as an individual on race day at the event.

Race Types

Running Duo

Have fun competing as a co-ed pair!

Whether a father/daughter or mother/son, or maybe a fun running partner, your finishing placement as a male/female combo will be added together to compete against other co-ed pairs. Join in the fun for this category!

**Running Duos will still be placed as individuals and can win both as an individual and as a pair. All Running Duos MUST be registered online prior to the close of online registration on August 26. However, you can still register to run as an individual on race day at the event.

Race Types

Of course, you can participate in the 5k as an individual. Just sign up for either the walk or the run and go find your sponsors to make a greater impact!

**Those who sign up with a Team or Running Duo will be timed and can place as an individual in addition to their Team or Running Duo.

Kids Run

There are 2 options for the Kids Runs (age 11 and under). The Kids Dash is 1/2 mile and costs no money, whereas the Kids 1 Miler has a $10 fee and includes a t-shirt.
